Renal Function Panel
Testing
Your kidneys serve as a filter for your body. They remove
waste from your bloodstream, regulate your body's water balance,
and maintain the acidity and alkalinity of your body's fluids.
A renal function panel is done to find out if your kidneys are
doing their job.
Many times, a urine sample is
taken as part of the test. Additional tests that may
be needed include:

Creatinine clearance

Urea clearance

Urine osmolality

Urine protein
Blood tests that may be
performed include a Blood Urea Nitrogen test (BUN), or a
Creatinine test.
